SANGHAFEST, at TicoTime along the Animas River near Durango CO, June 12-15 2025
Sangha is the Sanskrit word for “community” or “bringing together”, which is the mission of Sangha Fest: to come together in joyful celebration, sacred ceremony and nourish our body, mind and spirit: health & wellness, conscious community, and personal development through yoga, breathwork, music, meditation, movement, art, dance, nature, ceremony, and play.
For the first year, thanks to the efforts of Susan Ullman, the Dances of Universal Peace are a main feature of the festival. (Thank you Susan for all this work, and thank you and Nuriya for first presenting the Dances there!)
We will have our Tent as a Dance space, with shared camping and our kitchen set-up nearby. Mentor leaders Sky Roshay and Shivadam Burke, joined by Bernie Skydrummer and Hassan Raven Wolf, will focalize the sessions and workshops, with support from Susan and other local leaders and musicians. Wade Hanson is our Tent Boss, Dennis Roshay will provide sound and lighting support as well as photography and videography.
It is an ambitious outreach project, with the potential to reach hundreds of adults of all ages, including families with children, and you can be part of it:
• Come to SanghaFest and be part of the DUP presence! Four day festival tickets are $150 through December 31; as of January 1 they will be $200. Our promo code, for a 5% discount, is DUP. Walk in tent camping is free; car camping is an extra $60; RV sites are more (and must be reserved). We will also be able to attend all the other Festival events: kirtan, ecstatic Dance, sound baths, yoga, etc etc.
• Support us with a contribution. We are hoping for a small grant from DUP International, but your contributions will help pay the expenses of the leaders and the support staff; provide funding to help other leaders and musicians attend; help offset SanghaFest expenses beyond the generous waiving of fees they have offered so far; and provide scholarship opportunities for supporting Dancers who would otherwise be unable to afford to come. You can send your contributions as a check to Susan Ullman, 7700 RD 37, Mancos CO 81328 or via Venmo to @Susan-Ullman-10
• Buy an extra festival ticket (tickets are transferable) and make it available to us to us by letting Susan know (nechama710@gmail.com or 970-779-0979). She will arrange with the festival organizers to transfer it to one of our staff or volunteers.
Tucked along the Animas River, Tico Time River Resort features RV sites, car camping, primitive wooded camping, ponds, beaches, water slides, paddle boards, zip lines, and hiking trails – magical place to share a weekend filled with yoga classes, transformational workshops, kirtan artists, live music, Dances of Universal Peace and Ecstatic Dance. See map for where we will be situated.
